The part that invents deals with writing. Basically, it’s a Sunday column about last week, or last month or something that occurred many years ago and suddenly comes back to haunt or bite you. It will present books, new authors and introduce writers here today or gone a long time ago. It will dabble in art with far more enthusiasm than knowledge -there’s already enough of that going around. Basically, it will write about whatever’s out there, or in here. In a world of serious writers this will be a serious column that doesn’t take itself seriously. Not PC. Too much of that already.

The part about life is basically about sharing. It will be about things learned along the way. What you know and what you have. What to avoid There will be gardens, and simple recipes, a few dogs, vases with wildflowers and refined tables set just for friends. Everything made simple but never plain. It will aim to entertain and hopefully, occasionally, create a sense of wonder.

Best enjoyed to music with a glass of wine.
